Workers Rights

As an employee, you are entitled to certain rights in the marketplace-including those that keep you safe. These include, but are not limited to, the right to:
- be trained in a language that you understand
- be provided with necessary safety equipment
- report injury or illness
- voice your concerns over unsafe working conditions without the fear of retaliation.
Employers, be aware that the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) has updated existing rules reporting injury or illness in the work place.
Effective January 1, 2017, certain employers will be required to electronically submit injury or illness data.
Effective August 10, 2016, a new rule prohibits employers from discouraging their workers from reporting an injury or illness.
